Daniel (Danny) Eli Fincher, son, brother, father, grandfather, teller of tales, and superb dancer, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
He loved his family, his Savior, Key Lime pie, and shoes that fit. He did not love cutting grass, chemotherapy, or bad haircuts.
His wife, Sondra (Sandy), children, Brittany (Kevin) Trimnal, Rachael (Trey) Rogers, Daniel, and Bethany Fincher, will miss his cornbread, potato salad, knuckle popping, and laughter.
His grandchildren, Sawyer Chadick, Samuel Ferguson, Lexi, and Benny Rogers, were his shining pride and best playmates. They will miss their “POP!”
Brothers, Marion (Jeanne) and David (Vicki) Fincher, Sisters, Becky (Darron) Carter and Kim (Darrel) Robbins, will miss him terribly, but they will always have glorious memories with him. Some of those memories are the stuff of legends … just ask them.
Father, Wallace, Mother, Louise, and sister, Charlotte, welcomed him in heaven, and are making sure he’s eating all he wants, and wearing the best clothes.
Danny left beautiful friends and extended family, whom he loved and cared for dearly. Too many to name.
He is whole, healed, and saving us a place on the front row … Not the cheap seats.
Have patience, my love. We will see you soon!
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a chapel service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
