We are heartbroken to announce the passing of one of God’s precious sons. Daylon Wesley Alexander Smith, 17, of Semmes, AL, passed away on January 20, 2026. He was born in Warner Robins, GA, on April 8, 2008. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Howard Allen Smith of Hawkinsville, GA; great-grandparents, Shelton and Betty Thrower of Cataula, GA.
He was a loving and caring person with a heart as big as the sky. He loved to weld and play video games. He was always quiet and easy-going. He never fussed about his chores or what he was asked to do. Even though he stopped taking Taekwondo classes, he still jumped around like a Ninja. He enjoyed playing chess and could beat almost anyone. He was always so kind and generous. He would give you the shirt off his back. He was always trying to make people laugh. He loved so deeply.
He will be sorely missed by his mother, Amanda Smith of Semmes, AL; his father, Wesley (Victoria) Smith of Wadley, GA; his siblings, Shelby Smith of Semmes, AL; Alyssa Smith of Little Rock, MS; Kayden Smith of Semmes, AL; Logan Smith of Wadley, GA; Hannah Smith of Wadley, GA; Lucas Smith of Wadley, GA; his Nephew: Tucker Smith of Little Rock, MS; his grandparents Delane Fillingim of Semmes, AL; Bradford Thrower of Cataula, GA; Tony (Connie) Brown of Cochran, GA; his great grandparents Delano (Jessie) Vick of Semmes, AL; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his pet, Spike.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a chapel service at 12:00 p.m.
