Larry McMillan Obituary

Larry Allan McMillan, 90, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026.

Born on October 29, 1935, to the late Roland McMillan and Iris Allen, Larry lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his faith, his country, and his community. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane McMillan, with whom he shared many cherished years of marriage.

Larry proudly served his country as a tank gunner in the United States Army. Following his military service, he pursued higher education with determination, earning his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama and later his MBA from the University of South Alabama. His commitment to education reflected his strong work ethic and desire to continually grow and provide for his family.

A devoted family man, Larry is survived by his two sons, Roland (Jessica) McMillan and Jefferey McMillan. He was a proud grandfather to Hannah (David) Sneed and Sarah McMillan, who brought him great joy and pride. His legacy of strength, integrity, and love will live on through them.

Larry was a faithful member of Springhill Baptist Church, where he found fellowship and spiritual encouragement throughout the years. His steady presence, kind heart, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
